Our Prayer Tree
Our Prayer Tree is for anyone, anytime, to write a prayer to share.
As a class, Year 6 have started training to be Peer Mediators with Mrs Cooper. This is a 5 week block of lessons this half of term, teaching children how to be good listeners, to make our playgrounds even calmer and happier places.
It is hoped that the children who are chosen to be Peer Mediators will be able to start this very important job after Christmas.
In our classes we each made something to contribute to the Remembrance Service in school. Year 6 read extracts from Michael Morpurgo's Warhorse, which showed the difference in mood between the beginning, the middle and the end of the war, as seen through the eyes of the characters of the book.
They also made felt poppies to contribute to the beautiful whole-school display in the hall.
Harvest - Love in Action
We prepared songs and prayers for the Harvest Service at Blandford Parish Church and brought gifts of food to give to the Blandford Foodbank
As part of both RE and PSHE, we looked at the work of the foodbank, seeing this as evidence of Love in Action - love being one of our values.
Prayer - October 2017
We have been thinking about prayer and praying for God to watch over those things that are dear to us.
New Beginnings September 2017
As a class, we thought about new starts, and what was important to us this year. We have started a brand new Reflection Diary for Torak Base!
