Our School Vision: Knowing we are loved, we learn and grow to be the best that we can be.
Our School Values: At Blandford St Mary CE Primary School our school values are: Love, Hope, Respect, Perseverance and Responsibility.
It is with great pleasure as the Headteacher at Blandford St Mary CE Primary School that I welcome you to our website.
My vision is to work together in partnership with pupils, parents, carers, the wider community and the staff to create an outstanding school in which all stakeholders thrive and is firmly rooted in its Christian setting.
Blandford St Mary CE Primary School is a member of the Blandford Education Trust (BET) and forms the Multi-Academy Trust alongside Archbishop Wake CE and Spetisbury CE Primary Schools..
We value every child and encourage them all to develop socially, emotionally, academically and physically to achieve their potential in every aspect of their school life and prepare them for their next step in their education in Key Stage Three. We aim for all of the children to leave Blandford St Mary as life-long learners who have the academic skills and emotional resilience to take on the challenges that modern life offers them.
I firmly believe that we owe it to the children to deliver the highest standards of learning and teaching that we can. I am also convinced that children learn best when they feel safe, happy and confident. We endeavour to encourage all pupils to become ‘life-long learners’ and value the learning process. This is not possible without first securing effective behaviours such as: readiness for learning; independence; collaboration when needed; resilience; reflection and risk-taking.
The school's success is underpinned by its vision, its values and the high quality care it gives to each pupil, together with the strong relationships and partnerships it has with parents and carers. The strength of relationships, alongside the excellent induction and transfer procedures, ensures all pupils quickly feel settled and safe in school. Our school motto: 'To be the best that I can be' is central to everything we do and we are proud of how this enables everyone to work together for the benefit of every individual pupil.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find all the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school directly with any queries, or to book an appointment to visit the school.
We look forward to welcoming you to our fantastic school soon.
Kindest regards and a warm welcome,
Mr Daniel Lasbury-Carter
